School Uniform & Equipment

School Uniform

It is our school policy that all children wear school uniform.  We have high standards in appearance and parents whose children join our school, are expected to adhere to our uniform.

Uniform with the school logo (Polo Shirts, Jumpers, Cardigans and PE T-shirts) can be purchased from our supplier, Brenda's Schoolwear,  who are located at:

130 Frimley Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 2QN.  Tel: 01276 469697 or visit their website www.brendas.co.uk

The rest of the uniform (trousers, skirts, summer dresses, shorts etc) is generic and can be bought from Brendas or any other uniform supplier such as a supermarket.

Second-hand uniform is also available to purchase from the school office, Please see details at the bottom of this page.

On a normal non-PE school day, children should wear their sweatshirt or cardigan as they do now, however, if they need an extra layer in the winter, they may wear a fleece over the top.  It is not to be worn as a substitute for a sweatshirt or cardigan.

Lost Property

If you would like to order sticky name labels you can earn some money for the school at the same time when you quote the school's code.

Bags - All the classrooms have space for the children to store their coat and bags either in a cloakroom or in bag boxes/pegs in the classroom.  Space in these areas is limited, therefore bags should be of a reasonable size.  There is no requirement to purchase a SFJS bag with the school logo.

Pencil Cases - Although stationery is provided, most children do like to bring in their own so below is a list of suggested equipment they may wish to have:

  • Pencil case - These can be left at school and stored in their tray in their classroom, therefore should not be too big (e.g. some large Smiggle type cases won't fit).
  • HB writing pencil
  • Blue handwriting pen (for when then have their pen licence)
  • Colouring pencils
  • Eraser
  • Pencil Sharpener
  • Ruler
  • Glue Stick
  • Black small tipped whiteboard pen

Please Note:

Following Christmas we are finding that a few children start wearing smart watches to school, these are not part of the school uniform and must not be brought into school under any circumstances.

Whilst mobile phones are permitted, they must be switched off during the day and handed into the class teacher.  Please note that any mobile phone brought into school is at your own risk and school will not be held accountable for any loss or damage.
