School Library Opening 2018

School Library Official Opening - 24th September 2018

 

We all had a wonderful day when Guy Bass, award-winning author of such great books as ‘The Legend of Frog’ came to open our school library!

We have been using the library since the renovation work finished at Easter but have really been looking forward to Guy coming and doing an ‘official opening’.

It is with great thanks to our fantastic PTA, who contributed £13,000 towards the renovation, that the library was able to go ahead. The children love it and it has helped focus reading as a such an important part of our school.

Guy stayed all day and the children had a hilarious time listening to his stories, tales about his life and why reading is so important to him.  A truly inspirational day!
