The children will need to come to school in their PE kit and trainers. They will be walked in classes from South Farnborough to the sports ground and will be seated under gazebos on arrival and during the events. At the end of the races, they will be walked back to school in their classes in time for lunch and the afternoon lessons.

There will be no vehicular access or parking spaces available at the sports ground. Please be mindful when parking to not block driveways/entrances to local residents and businesses. We recommend that if spectators need to drive, that they park in Queen’s Road or King George V car parks and walk to the track. Picnic chairs or blankets would be useful as we are unable to offer any seating for spectators.

In the event of rain, a decision will be made on the morning of the 9th July, whether or not the races event can go ahead. If this is the case we will notify you before 9:00am.

As the children will be very active on both these days, they will need to have a named water bottle and wear a sunhat. Please ensure they have applied sunscreen before school and have some to re-apply if necessary.

Good evening. Mr Gum is a complete horror who hates children, animals, fun and corn on the cob. This book’s all about him. And an angry fairy who lives in his bathtub. And Jake the dog, and a little girl called Polly. And there’s heroes and sweets and adventures and EVERYTHING.

The Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher

Franky can't wait to move to his new town - although he wishes he didn't have to leave his best friend Dani behind.
But everything changes after the storm, when strange green lightning and powerful thunder crash down on the town. From that night on, the kids who live on Franky's street start to change. One by one, they become a little odd. A little unusual. A little... magical.

Franky's always wanted to be part of an amazing gang - just like his hero, super-spy Zack Danger! And soon, he realises that there's real danger in store for himself and his new friends.
