  • Weekly Email Summary

A summary of the information sent to all year groups on 17th April 2026

    Messages this week

    • Years 3, 4, and 5 will be visiting Farnborough Library over the next few weeks to celebrate the National Year of Reading. The visits will take place during the school day with the children walking to and from the library. This is covered by the local area consent you have already given.

To ensure your child can fully participate in the experience, we encourage you to register them for a free library membership before their visit, if they don't already have one. Having a personal library card will allow your child to borrow books on the day and continue using the library independently. You can register for membership and find further details regarding the service via the Hampshire County Council website here: Join the Library. Please Note: If you choose not to register for a card, your child will still participate fully in the school trip and all planned activities. However, please be aware that they will not be able to check out any physical books or materials to bring home during the visit without a valid library card.

    • Y3 DT Healthy Sandwich - The children will be taking part in food tasting next week to design a healthy sandwich - please see attached letter.

They are welcome to wear them to school in place of their sweatshirt/cardigan for the rest of this term, however, they will be asked to remove them when the weather gets hotter so they don't overheat!! Please note: They will not be allowed to wear them for the leaver's photo day on 3rd June or on school trips.
    • Y6 SATS Revision Clubs - It's not too late to sign your child up for the Thursday SATs revision clubs if required. Please ensure you only sign your child up for one session per week (3 weeks left) in either Reading, Maths or SPAG.
    • Theme Day Menus - Chartwells will be running a few themed menus this term which will replace options 1-5 on those days. Jacket Potatoes will still be on offer as an alternative option. The first of these themed menus is taking place next Thursday 23rd April with a St. George's theme. Please see attached flyer for menu choices.
