Reminders for w/c 14th September

• Tuesday 15th September - Y6 Curriculum and SATS Meeting 3:30-4pm in hall
• Tuesday 15th September - Young Voices club starts (for registered children only). Collection from King George V park gate at 4:15pm.
• Wednesday 16th September - Y4 Curriculum Meeting 3:30-4pm in school hall.
• Y3 REMINDER - If you have not done so already, please consent for your child to attend the Butser Farm trip on Monday 28th September.
• REMINDER - If you have not done so already, please give or decline consent for your child to receive the flu vaccination on 5th October.
• Y6 SATS Revision Books - We will have samples of CGP SATs practice workbooks available to view at the curriculum meeting next Tuesday. These books are not required, but they may be helpful for children who wish to do additional practice at home. You can order them via the school shop on Arbor at a discounted price after the meeting. Please see the attached list of available titles.
• Y5 & Y6 Salesian College Open Event - There will be an open evening for Year 6 boys at Salesian College on Wednesday 21st October 5-7pm. Please see attached flyer for details of how to book your place.
• Y5 & Y6 Salesian College Sports Open Event - Salesian will also be offering a sports evening on Friday 18th September 4:30-6pm for Year 6 Boys to take part in Football and Rugby coaching with their staff and Farnham Town FC players. See attached flyer for details of how to book your place.

Community News

• Calling all budding musicians! - A brand-new North East Hants Music Centre is starting at The Wavell School on Wednesday evenings, and you could be part of it from the very beginning. You’ll learn to play an instrument with a small group of other children, before joining together with musicians playing lots of different instruments to form a band.

  You can choose from: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone or Violin

  If you decide to sign up, you’ll spend 30 minutes learning your instrument in a small group of 6–8 children, followed by 30 minutes playing together in a band. And the best bit? You’ll be making music with other people from the very first session! There’s nothing quite like hearing all the different instruments come together.

  Not sure which instrument you'd like to play? No problem! Staff from Hampshire will be coming to SFJS on Tuesday 29th September 3:30pm so you’ll have the chance to try them all! To help us gauge numbers, please complete this form if you are planning to attend this trial session.
