 Messages this week

  • Letter from the Governors - Please see the attached letter from our Co-Chair of Governors

  • Y4 DT Healthy Salad - The children have started designing their own healthy salad as part of their DT lesson. They will be making these w/c 5th October. Please see the attached letter for information on which day your child will be making their salad. 

  • Y6 The Wavell School Open Event - If you are interested in your child attending The Wavell School in Year 7, they will be holding an open evening on 8th October and daytime tours from 5th to 16th October. Please see the attached flyer with details on how to book. If you book a daytime tour, please inform the school office so we know that your child will be out of school.

  • Y6 BBC 500 Words Competition - Over the next few weeks we will be writing some short stories with the intention to enter them into the BBC 500 words competition. Please see attached letter for more information.

  • Y6 Science - Heart Dissection - As part of their science work this term, Year 6 children will be watching a demonstration of a heart dissection by Mr Svensen. It is likely that this will be a pig’s heart. There will be no involvement from the children other than to watch and ask questions. This will be taking place week commencing 5th October. We understand that some children may not want to or be able to take part due to religious/ethical reasons. These children will not be expected to take part but will be given Chromebooks to research the heart instead. If you would like your child to opt out of this lesson, please email the school by Friday 2nd October.

  • Young Minds Hello Yellow Day 9th October - Please see the attached letter

Reminders for w/c 28th September

  • Y3 Monday 28th September - Y3 will be visiting Butser Ancient Farm, in Watelooville. They will be outside whatever the weather, therefore, please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately. As of today, it is showing a small chance of rain so we suggest they pack a waterproof coat. They will also need to bring with them a packed lunch, water bottle and optional spending money (max £3) if they would like to visit the shop. Please see the letter sent on 4th September for full information.

  • Y6 Monday 28th September to Thursday 1st October - Y6 Bikeability (registered children only). Please remember to bring in your bike and helmet unless you have requested to borrow one.

  • REMINDER - If you have not done so already, please give or decline consent for your child to receive the flu vaccination on 5th October.

  • Y6 REMINDER - If you have not done so already, please remember to get your applications in for your secondary school places by 31st October

  • CM Sports Half-Term Holiday Club - Please the attached flyer for the CM Sports holiday club at The Wavell School this half-term

  • Get Bike Confident - The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust on behalf of Hampshire County Council are offering free cycling sessions including Doctor Bike, Led Rides, Bike Maintenance, Family Cycle Confidence and Adult Cycle Confidence sessions. Please see attached flyer for more information

  • Hart Squash Club - Kids Squash Club at Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre, Sundays 11:30 to 12:30. Please see attached flyer for details.

  • Camberley and Farnborough Hockey Club are excited to let you know that we've got another *FREE* Flyerz hockey session —an adaptive hockey session designed specifically for children and adults with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Flyerz aims to provide a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants can enjoy hockey tailored to their needs. Siblings are welcome to join in as well.
