Army Parade - We have been lucky enough to be invited to take a small group of children to attend the Army Pass-Off Parade of 1 (Fowler) Sqn on Friday 19th June 2026 at Alexander Barracks in Pirbright. We took a group of children last year, for the first time and it was an amazing experience. The parade is a celebration of 13 weeks of training of new recruits. There will be approx. 150 recruits on parade doing marching etc and there will also be a band playing. This is not something that is open to the general public and we are very fortunate to have the opportunity for some of our children to attend such an event. This year we would like to offer the opportunity to any children who may have an interest in the Armed Forces who would benefit from such an exclusive experience. As we have already stated this is a limited to a small group of children so we will be taking children on a first come first serve basis. We will leave school at 9.30am, in the school minibus, and return to school by the end of the school day. All children will need to be in school uniform and bring a packed lunch with them, including a snack and a drink for mid-morning (no fizzy drinks or glass bottles). If you feel this is something your child would enjoy, please email the school office, adminoffice@southfarnborough-jun.hants.sch.uk by 15th May 2026.
Y6/MLD Swimming - We would like to invite the children to have a fun day in the pool in small groups after their SATs. If they have them, a swimming hat and goggles, but these can be provided. The children will take part on the following dates:
