A summary of the information sent to all year groups on 10th April 2026
Messages this week
- Summer Clubs Spaces - The following clubs still have some availability if your child would like to register. They will be removed as an option on Arbor once those spaces have been filled. Clubs start w/c 20th April.
- Tuesday - DT (Yrs 4, 5, 6)
- Tuesday - Drawing (Yrs 4, 5, 6)
- Tuesday - Choir
- Tuesday - Cooking Group 2 - If your child has done this before, it will be the same recipes.
- Wednesday - Cricket (Yrs 5, 6)
- Wednesday - Board Games
- Wednesday - Mindfulness
- Thursday - German
- Thursday - SATS revision - No limit on spaces, open to any Y6 that requires it.
- Thursday - Wizard of Oz - No limit on spaces, open to all Y6.
- Summer Club walk home consent - If your child has registered for a school-led club and you have not yet done so, can you please complete the Summer Club walk home consent on Arbor. Please select either "consent" or "decline consent" for your child to walk home/to an agreed meeting place (e.g. KGV car park) without an adult. Children will not be allowed to leave on their own without this permission. All school-led clubs will be dismissed from the KGV park gate only. Children attending CM Sports wraparound will be sent straight there after their club finishes.
- Y6 Leavers - As our Year 6 pupils enter their final term, life at SFJS is set to become very busy! From SATs week (starting Monday 11th May) to end-of-year performances and trips in between, there is a lot to look forward to. To ensure you stay up to date with all the latest news and schedules, please remember to check these updates every Friday afternoon. We will be releasing more information over the coming weeks, so keeping an eye on these notifications will be especially important.
- Y6 REMINDER - The deadline to sign your child up for the Y6 Warner Bros Studio Tour trip is Friday 17th April. If you would like your child to attend, can you please make your payment by this date so we can confirm the numbers and purchase their tickets.
- Y6 Leavers Book Photos - This half-term we will start to compile the 2026 leavers book and we would love for every child to be included on their class page. They will each receive a copy to keep at the end of term. We would like the children to submit a photo of themselves using the following link: https://forms.gle/42PjuTzABjmww5Tn7 alternatively they can upload a photo to their school Google Drive and can share it with us in school.
To make the book truly special, we want these photos to reflect the children's unique personalities. Therefore, school uniforms are not required! We encourage the children to choose a photo they love, such as:
-
Holiday snaps or favourite memories.
-
Action shots from sports or hobbies.
-
A portrait with a family pet.
-
A classic selfie!
If they are unable to provide a photo, please let us know and we can take one in school.
Any problems, please contact Mrs Kelly in the school office. The deadline for photos is Friday 5th June.
- Going forward a general summary of the weekly updates sent to all year groups will also be uploaded to the latest news section of the school website. This is accessible from the home page or the news and events page
